Central Vietnam and Laos

A/ The main destinations of Central Vietnam are: 

* Hoi An ancient town - a World cultural heritage site
* My Son sanctuary - Unesco heritage site
* Cu Lao Cham islands - World biosphere reserve
* Hue ancient citadel - The city of World cultural heritage
* Lang Co bay
* Da Nang beach city
* Son Tra peninsular
* DMZ - Demilitarised zone of Quang Tri province

* Hue to Savannakhet province of Laos



B/ Transportation
     By bus: It takes about 12 - 13 hours from Nha Trang beach city (South - Central coast) to Hoi An ancient town. Most tourists use night sleeping buses

                   From Ha Noi capital to Hue city, it takes about 13 - 14 hours by night sleeping bus.

                   Hoi An is about 30km from Da Nang city and takes about 1 hour 

                   Hoi An to Hue takes about 4 hours

                   Da Nang to Hue takes about 3 hours


     From Hue, there are buses leaving for Savannakhet province of Laos. The bus takes about 8 hours. 

      
        By Air
Vietnam airlines, Vietjet air... have daily flights from Saigon/Hanoi to Da Nang city and Hue city.

It takes about 1 hour 20 mintues


C/ Typical Itinerary

DAY 3: Take bus from Hoi An to Hue

6 DAYS

7 DAYS

8 DAYS

DAY 1: Fly from Saigon/Hanoi to Da Nang city. Take public bus or private car to Hoi An ancient town. Discovering the town.

NOTE: Da Nang's My Khe beach and Son Tra peninsular are also nice places to stay a few days. 

             In summer, you can come to Ba Na mountain resort which is called the Da Lat of Central Vietnam.

            Therefore, you can spend about 9 - 10 days in Central Vietnam
