A Vietnamese blogger has recently published a number of pictures that differentiate the habits of girls in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, drawing the attention of many readers and being shared by several local online newspapers.

Meo Luoi (Lazy Cat), a local blogger, in late July introduced eight pictures that indicate differences in the eating habits and lifestyles such as dealing with breakups, using perfume, and the use of leisure time of girls in the two cities.

Dealing with breakups: HCMC girls (L) would cry while girls in Hanoi (R) would smile.

Ice cream eating: HCMC girls (L) like ice cream cups while girls in Hanoi (R) like ice cream cones.

Spending leisure time: HCMC girls (L) like taking photos while girls in Hanoi (R) like writing poetry.

Perfume choice: HCMC girls (L) like the scent while girls in Hanoi (R) like the brand.

When the husband comes home late: HCMC girls (L) would say “So you come home at this hour?” while girls in Hanoi (R) would say “Why didn't you go away forever?”.

Eating habits: HCMC girls (L) go out for dinner with friends while girls in Hanoi (R) ask their friends to cook at home.

Spending leisure time: HCMC girls (L) often go to Ho Con Rua (Turtle Lake) while girls in Hanoi (R) go to Ho Hoan Kiem (Lake of the Returned Sword).

Eating habits: HCMC girls (L) love eating “bun bo Hue” (beef rice noodles prepared the way people cook them in the central city of Hue) while girls in Hanoi love eating “bun oc” (snail rice noodles)
