How Much Per Day In Saigon

1/ Acommodation
    Stay in Backpacker area (Pham Ngu Lao, Bui Vien, De Tham streets)

    6USD/bed/day (Good and new hostel with A/C)
    
    6 - 10USD/room (Small guesthouse, very basic room with fan, some with A/C)


(Local people pay 50 - 75USD to rent a room for 1 month. The room is quite small and can accommodate to 2 - 3 people. Extra payment for water and electricity. Location: outside of Saigon center)  


2/ Meals
    Breakfast: 15,000VND up (Vietnamese bread; Vietnamese noodle)
                     10,000VND (Iced milk coffee)
                      7,000VND (Iced coffee)


3/ Transportation
     15,000VND by motorbike for a short ride (1 - 2km)
      40,000VND by motorbike for a long ride (about 6km)

4/ Internet
    5,000VND/hour


5/ Tropical fruit, vegetable and others
     If you stay in Backpacker area, come to Thai Binh market opening from early morning till late afternoon. This market serves local people 
     Thai Binh market is on Pham Ngu Lao street. Its a 8-minute walk from De Tham street.

Just for your reference:
     One bunch of banana (12,000VND up)
     1kg rambutan (In season, often falls into May, June, July: 10,000 - 25,000VND. Depends on type and quality of rambutan)
     1 kg papaya (20,000VND up)
     1 pineapple (6,000VND up)
     1 kg mango (15,000VND up. The excellent one called Xoai Cat Hoa Loc is about 45,000VND up)
     1 kg watermelon (10,000VND up) 
     1 kg durian (30,000 - 60,000VND up)
     1 kg orange (10,000VND up. The excellent one: 35,000VND up)
     1kg lychee (28,000 - 35,000VND up)
