The hotel will close and work will begin on March 3, 2015.
The upgrades are expected to finish in June, its management board announced on Friday.
Work may continue, on certain rooms, through November.
The management board said the hotel will retain French
architectural elements while adding Indochina-style decor features to
the hotel, such as crystal chandeliers, white walls and a green garden.
They have also pledged to change the furniture in the rooms.
It will also change the decor in the public rooms and purchase new advanced equipment for the hotel.
The management board did not reveal the total costs of the
upgrade project, but said the room rates will increase, slightly, after
it's over.
The board said the upgrade aims to offer the best possible services for its customers.
Opened in 2005, the 244-room Park Hyatt Saigon occupies a
large swath of prime real estate behind the elegant Saigon Opera House
in District 1.
