Tan Son Nhat opens new taxi zone in major improvement bid

TuoitreNews.vn - Passengers can now flag down a cab in a new taxi zone inaugurated Thursday at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, among several other changes introduced at the country’s busiest terminal. The new taxi zone is located in front of the domestic hall, serving passengers of both arrival and departure flights, an airport representative said on Thursday.

Coldest spell of 2015 hits southern Vietnam

TuoiTreNews.vn - The southern region of Vietnam has gone through the coldest weather this year with the average temperature going down from 1-2 degrees Celsius, according to the southern hydrometeorology center. The lowest temperature was recorded at 18.5 degrees Celsius at Long Khanh District of Dong Nai Province. The temperature also went down to 19.5 degrees Celsius at Phuoc Long District in Binh Phuoc Province, 20.7 degrees Celsius in So Sao of Binh Duong Province, and 20.3 degrees in Bien Hoa City of Dong Nai. Similarly, the temperature in the Mekong Delta region had a slight reduction to 20.5 degrees Celsius in Moc Hoa District of Long An Province, 21 degrees in Cao Lanh of Dong Thap Province, and 21.2 degrees in My Tho of Tien Giang Province. In Ho Chi Minh City, the temperature at districts Tan Binh and Nha Be were from 21 – 21.7 degrees Celsius. Vietnam's first-ever safari zoo set for Xmas opening on Phu Quoc Island

Nghe An’s stunning sunflowers

A sunflower field in Nghia Son commune, Nghia Dan district, central Nghe An province attracts swarms of young people eager to snap photographs. The field, which is 30 hectares wide, is 100km far from Vinh city. According to local authorities, this sunflower field has been planted to provide materials for animal feed and processing of a nearby dairy project. Each sunflower tree is 1-1.5 metres high. Sunflowers are planted twice or three times a year. Sunflowers generally are in full bloom from late March to mid-April. (Nghia Dan is about 250km far from Hanoi city)
